You do. 100%. The Client retains full ownership of all their data, including user information and course content. We are simply the custodians of the platform it resides on.

For any organisation handling South African user data, the POPI Act requires data to be stored with adequate protection. Hosting data locally is the clearest and safest way to ensure compliance. International hosting puts you at significant legal and reputational risk.

It means we handle all the technical work behind the scenes. This includes server setup, OS updates, Moodle version upgrades, security monitoring, daily backups, and performance tuning. You simply log in and use the platform.
